My client is on the lookout for an experienced Data Architect to join their fast-growing team in Galway. The successful candidate will design and oversee the structure of their data platforms, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and future-ready. You’ll play a central role in shaping the collection, storage, integration and use of data across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on their data strategy and enable advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar lead/senior data engineering role.
• Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Cosmos DB.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data transformation frameworks (PySpark, T-SQL).
• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance (GDPR, ISO, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
